Rogue Router Interference

To help RCC with determining rogue routers in the building that may be interfering with the connections, if you see a wireless network (with high signal strength) that you suspect is affecting your wireless connection:

  1. Try the suggestions listed on the wireless help page
  2. If the above suggestions do not improve their connection, run the information-gathering applets for their specific operating system (if they are on Windows XP, an RCC can visit to collect the data)
  3. Submit a help request at http://rcc.mit.edu/wireless with the text file created by the applet.

Eastgate Feedback from RCC

If you've submitted a request to RCC via the links above, please tell us (EEC) about your experience. Please note that we have no immediate control over the connections, but we can communicate overall residents' feedback with the RCC.
