The Eastgate Lounge

Eastgate Lounge
On the Penthouse level of Eastgate, the lounge offers spectacular views of Boston - a great place for a private party, or just to spend time with friends & family.

A Community Space

With so little commonspace in Eastgate, the lounge is a great venue for all residents to gather & have fun. When it is not reserved for a private party, feel free to come in and watch TV or play the piano. Keep in mind that the lounge is community space so please be considerate of others. If you've been watching TV for a while and somebody asks to change the channel, please come to an agreement. If you want to practice the piano while others are present, please use headphones.

If you wish to bring a snack or a soft drink (no alcohol) as you watch television or gaze out the window, all we ask is that you clean up after yourself, and have provided cleaning supplies for you to do so. Don't remove the cleaning supplies from the lounge - if the supplies aren't there or are running low, e-mail the Treasurers (eastgate hyphen lounge [at] mit (dot) edu) to let them know. Also, ensure that you empty the trash when you leave. A fine will be levied for residents who leave any mess or garbage behind, whether they have a reservation or not.

If you want the lounge all to yourself, you MUST reserve it (see Private Events below).
