Eastgate Lobby LCD Screen

What's it all about?

The LCD screen in Eastgate's lobby is part of the DomeView network - allowing groups and departments within the MIT community to advertise their events and initiatives efficiently across the MIT campus. Advertisements for events sposored by the Eastgate Community Association, as well as advertisements for any other events that may be of interest to Eastgate residents are prioritized on Eastgate's display.

Can I advertise an event that would be of interest to Eastgate residents on the display?

Yes! Just follow these steps:

  1. Create your poster and save it in JPEG format at a resolution of 1360 x 768. Click here for detailed instructions and templates for some popular applications.
  2. To upload your poster, you now have 2 options:
    1. If you are a member of an ASA-recognized student group, you can upload your poster directly on the DomeView website. You may need to request account activation on behalf of your group first. Student groups are given a number of free advertising credits each semester, and additional credits can be purchased directly from DomeView at the advertised cost.
    2. Alternatively, you can e-mail the advertisement to the Publicity and Recycling Officers (eastgate hyphen publicity [at] mit (dot) edu). A fee of $5 per week (7 consecutive days) applies. Please e-mail the poster at least 48 hours in advance and include the requested start and end dates for your advertisement (every effort will be made to accommodate late requests, but they are not guaranteed). Please bring your payment (cash, or check payable to MIT) to Apt 11A within 24 hours of sending the e-mail. (Please mark the check/envelope with "LCD" and don't forget to include your name.)
  3. Relax! The poster will be displayed as part of the queue and cycled through periodically on the days indicated.

Note that the DomeView group and the ECA Executive Committee reserve the right to reject posters or withdraw a poster at any time for any reason. If you chose option (b), payment for rejected posters will be refunded. If you chose option (a), refunds are subject to the policies of DomeView.

If you first obtain ECA sponorship for your event, we may be able to waive the advertising fee through option (b). Click here for more details...
