Eastgate Community Association (ECA)
The Eastgate Community Association (ECA) is the organization that plans Eastgate social events and activities, and represents Eastgate in the greater MIT community. It is governed by the ECA Constitution and represented by the ECA Executive Committee (EEC). The EEC officers are bound by the Bylaws of the ECA Constitution.
The purpose of ECA is five-fold:
- Provide social programming for residents
- Provide a venue for changing house rules
- Provide representation for the interests of Eastgate residents in the greater MIT community
- Allocate common assets to meet the needs of Eastgate residents
- Act as a liaison between MIT Housing and Eastgate
All Eastgate residents are members of ECA and may be as active as they wish. You can get involved by:
- Attending the monthly townhall meetings
- Attending Eastgate-sponsored events

- Organizing events open to the entire Eastgate Community
