Eastgate has a Nintendo Wii game console connected to the TV in the lounge. The console cannot be reserved or rented, but can be used by members of the Eastgate Wii Program on a first-come first-serve basis, subject to the availability of the lounge and TV.
If you would like to have access to Eastgate's Nintendo Wii you will need to join the Eastgate Wii Program. A subscription costs just $10 and is valid from today until August 31, 2024. Alternatively, if you are reserving the lounge, you can choose to add a one-day Wii Program membership to your reservation (valid only on the day of your event) for a $5 one-off payment. Membership includes
access to all of Eastgate's Wii games, 4 standard controllers and 4 nunchuk controllers.
Please note that the combination is changed frequently, so you will need to request the combination each time you access the equipment.

Funds raised from membership fees are used to purchase new games, as voted for by members of the Wii Program
- The console and associated equipment is to be stored and operated exclusively in the Eastgate lounge
- The console, accessories, and lounge furniture must not be damaged in any way
- The member that opened the Wii safe is responsible for ensuring proper use of the console and its accessories
- The wrist straps must be worn at all times when using the Wii remotes
- Eastgate-owned Wii accessories and games may only be operated with the Eastgate Wii console
- All items removed from the Wii safe must be returned to the Wii safe immediately after use
- Supplied batteries are for use with Eastgate’s Wii remotes only
- Items must not be damaged or defaced in any way
- Use of the Wii is subject to availability of both the lounge and the console:
- Membership into the Eastgate Wii Program does not guarantee availability of the lounge or the console. If you wish to reserve use of the console, you must reserve the lounge.
- The console cannot be used during times in which the lounge has been reserved by another resident.
- Use of the console during times that the lounge is not reserved is on a first-come first-serve basis, although we ask that you do not use the console for more than one hour if another member of the Wii Program is waiting to use it.
- The combination must be obtained from the Eastgate Website before each use
- The combination to access the equipment must not be shared with other individuals
- No attempt must be made to enter combinations other than the one provided to you on the Eastgate website
- All games must be removed from the console and the console switched off after use
- Use of the console and accessories must be in accordance with the Health and Safety precautions explained here

If the supply of batteries for the Wii remote has diminished, or if items from the Wii safe are missing when you first open it, please notify the administrators immediately by e-mailing eastgate hyphen lounge [at] mit (dot) edu.
To join the Eastgate Wii Program, please register your details below, then bring payment of $10 (in cash or check) as well as a $100 refundable deposit check to Apt 14E. Please make checks payable to "MIT", and place your payment in an envelope with "Eastgate Wii Program" and your name & apartment number clearly marked. Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an e-mail confirming your membership and will be able to access the equipment using the link above.
