Nov 6th:

The Eastgate Lounge Policy has changed, as is illustrated on the Eastgate Lounge Page. Please read the rules carefully before renting the lounge.

Nov 5th:

The Movie rental is probably working. Please be gentle.

Nov 5th:

We figured the best time to update the new website design was during the crazy MIT server change time. We're all about making sure things aren't too simple..... As the new website comes up and stabalizes, please don't desitate to contact us with any issues (as they ARE expected...). The new design and wiki should be up now, but the movies and forum are still down :(.

Nov 3:

Due to a recent major upgrade on the MIT scripts servers, some of the Eastgate facilities will not be functioning properly . We've been fixing the various parts of the website. So far, the most affected systems that are still inoperational are the Movie Rental, the Forums and the Wiki.

Oct 31:

Website going haywire. Looking into it.
On another note, the Eastgate IO team has been working on a new eastgate website for a better design and improved information flow. We've nearing completion of this new site, and are slowly integrating it into the current website. Please visit our new template at http://eastgate.mit.edu/t/, and send any feedback to eastgate hyphen io [at] mit (dot) edu! Thanks!

November 30, 2008: Vote on the new Eastgate Constitution

Hi,

While you are celebrating with us at the holiday party, we would like to ask you to take a minute to vote on an important building issue. As I am sure you know, we recently had a change in our building leadership as we welcomed our new housemaster and said goodbye to our RLA. The Eastgate Executive Committee has made changes in our Constitution to reflect this change, and to clear up the language in other parts of the document, and needs to conduct a building-wide vote to allow these changes to take effect. It is very important that we get your vote, as we need 100 votes to pass the changes.

So, just in case the great food and fun times were not enough to get you to come to our annual holiday party, here is one more incentive! Please make sure you have your voice heard on these important changes!

July 30, 2008: Tues. Aug 19th @6pm in the Eastgate Penthouse GSC Family Subcommittee Meeting

Tues. Aug 19th @6pm in the Eastgate Penthouse GSC Family Subcommittee Meeting

I am Kevin Krsulich, the new chair of the GSC HCA Family Subcommittee. I also serve as one of Westgate's Parents Resource Coordinators. This fall, the HCA Family Subcommittee will reconvene after several years of inactivity. I am writing for two reasons:

1) to seek new committee members. I would like a minimum of one family representative and one couples representative from both Eastgate and Westgate. Off-campus will have similar representation as well.
2) to ask what issues on-campus families would like to see the committee address in the coming year.

If you are interested in working on family issues you are greatly encouraged to take part in the committee. I look forward to working with you all.

Best,

Kevin Krsulich (kdk323 [at] mit (dot) edu)
